Internal Wholesaler:
To provide sales and marketing support for life insurance, fixed annuities and other insurance products to our affiliates, agents and distribution partners with the goal of expanding production and strengthening relationships. The incumbent will report to the Vice President of Marketing. This position can lead to a Sales Director position which is focused on recruiting Broker Dealers and Registered Reps and Agents on a national level.
Essential Functions
- Support sales and recruiting efforts through regular contact with new and existing affiliates and agents
- Establish and cultivate relationships with affiliates and agents through regular contact to develop, grow and drive sales while enhancing relationships
- Proactively make outbound calls to predetermined volume of new and existing affiliates and agents with a fresh and compelling message, articulating 3 Mark’s value proposition/strategy, to drive increasing levels of business to 3 Mark
- Educate and support affiliates and agents on products and programs offered by 3 Mark for life insurance, fixed annuities and other insurance products (current products, features & benefits, illustration support, marketing material, sales concepts, case design, etc.) and respond to marketing material requests, quote requests, etc.
- Coordinate and conduct new affiliate onboarding to ensure understanding of how to effectively and efficiently do business with 3 Mark.
- Maintain relationships with appropriate carrier personnel
- Contribute to content for our various marketing efforts to generate interest from our distribution
- Provide monthly reports on activity including quote requests, new business status, sales calls, etc.
- Contribute to development and implementation of both short- and long-term marketing plans/programs.
- Support marketing plan/program execution to achieve sales goals.
Job Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or 4-7 years relevant work experience (in the insurance industry preferably with life insurance or fixed annuity experience)
- Ability to communicate effectively in person, over the phone, and via electronic communication (email, SMS/text, web meeting, etc.)
- Strong creative skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Outlook, etc). and Smart Office.
- State Insurance License & Series 6 and 63 preferred.
Knowledge Requirements
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; including speaking, writing, collateral design and advertising products and services.
- Superior writing, editing and presentation skills.
- Self-starter who can identify issues and work with appropriate people across multiple organizations.
- The ability to balance and prioritize multiple projects and priorities while maintaining strict attention to detail.
